Sonos' first wearable.

How can we create a new, wearable-specific white for Sonos Ace that feels refined, suits all skin tones, and marks Sonos’ shift from home audio to personal tech? As an Industrial Design intern at Sonos, I contributed to the project’s initial concept development, color exploration for both exterior and interior, and finishes.

Wrapped in plush memory foam and soft vegan leather, the cushion minimizes contact with your ear. And with how lightweight the design is, you may forget you're wearing headphones.
Distinctive in every way

A contrasting color differentiates the right cup so you instantly know how to put the headphones on.

The making of soft white

We tested 26 shades before choosing this unique off-white color. It shifts between white, light gray, and silver depending on the light, giving it a refined, versatile look. Designed specifically for wearables, the color complements many skin tones and styles, making it feel natural and comfortable to wear.
